Crews: I’m gonna tell you a secret. My partner over there, never, let’s me drive the car. (Reese looks annoyed.) Never. Can you tell me your secret Elsa ?
Reese: How come when you want to get a kid to talk you always make fun of me ?
Crews: I do? Do I? Not always, do I?
Reese: Do you want to drive the car ?
Crews: Do you want me to drive the car ?
Reese: No. I don’t.
Suspect: Hey bro, that’s no fair man, you weren’t supposed to be in the cell!
Crews: Not supposed to be and yet just can’t seem to stay out of ‘em!
Suspect 1: Help us with this ? You get caught with this, all you get is to testify in front of the US Senate.
Suspect 2: What he said!
Suspect 1: Can we go?
Reese: Yeah you can go down to processing, should take a few days, system’s real slow, we’ll talk again then.
Crews: What she said!
Crews: I do it because children seem to enjoy it. When I make fun of you. Because they think you’re uptight.
Reese: I’m… I am, I am not uptight. I’m not uptight! If you want to drive the car, go ahead and drive.
Crews: You know just because I don’t say everything that pops into my head, does not make me uptight.
Reese: I didn’t say you’re uptight, I said kids think you’re uptight. Though, kids are tough to fool about that.
(Dani stares at him, and I think I’m in love with her.)
Crews: Kids are notoriously tough to fool.
Tidwell: You’re rich, right Crews?
Crews: Not from birth.
Tidwell: You so rich how come you don’t have a car ?
Crews: I gave it away.
Tidwell: Really? See I heard that your “roommate” run over it with a tractor.
Crews: That was the other one.
Reese: (After Charlie offered to pay while they’re at a fancy restaurant:) Oh yeah, you’re rich!
Crews: Did you just say something nice to me ?
Reese: (Looks troubled realizing she might have:) No, I don’t think so.
Reese: I see a group of spoiled rich kids, and I want the big one in lockup.
Crews: If that’s what you want, that is what you shall have.
Reese: On what charge ?
Crews: Assaulting a police officer. (He then gets up and get the big one to assault him.)
Reese: Is it normal for doctors to allow patients to stay at their house ?
Dr James: Each patient is an individual, so the word normal does not apply.
Crews: If I were your patient, could I stay over ? Sometimes I have bad nights. Did I say that out loud ?
Reese: Crews!
Crews: My partner thinks I say everything that pops into my head, is that normal?
Dr James: I think you should leave now.
Crews: Right, because there is no such thing as normal. Which is a relief, because, sometimes I don’t feel normal. Is it normal not to feel normal ?
Dr James: I’m sure some people find you charming, Detective, I don’t.
Crews: How much you charge an hour, doc?
Dr James: My hourly rate is competitive. $450
Reese: (Shocked:) $450 an hour!?
Dr James: For a fifty-minute hour, yes.
Crews: How can it be an hour if it’s 50 minutes, that’s messing with time! I do say everything that pops into my head! Maybe I should come back, if I wanted to make an appointment, whom should I call ?
Dr James: You should call another doctor.
(Crews smiles.)
(Crews and his ex-wife are making out in the backseat of her husband’s car.)
Jennifer: Oh God! Oh, I remember that!
Crews: I really gotta get a car!
(Dani is lifting weights at the gym. Patrick sitting near by, watching her.)
Patrick: You and your partner are looking for me ? I’ve been watching you train. Pretty intense. Ex-addict work out, right? Lots of anger. Anger’s good.
Reese: Why don’t you come down at the station and we can talk about it ?
Patrick: Why don’t you come on a ride with me on my bike ? And we won’t have to talk. Do you really like talk ?
Reese: Where would we go ?
Patrick: Out there.
Reese: What’s out there, Patrick ?
Patrick: Everything… All the time.
Reese: I’d really like for you to come down at the station with me.
Patrick: Nah… that’s not what you’d like.
(As he is eating an apple, Charlie suddenly makes a bad face.)
Reese: What?
Crews: Worm!
Reese: Didn’t I tell you organic food would kill you ? Didn’t I?
Crews: (Keeps chewing:) Worms are just proteins, right?
Reese: Please don’t do that. Why would you do that, what’s wrong with you?
Reese: Did your father get mad when you disobeyed him? (Elsa nods.) Yeah, my father too. He would get so mad when I wouldn’t listen to him… (Charlie looks at her intensely.) But you wanted to make your father happy, didn’t you? (Elsa nods.) Me too, I wanted to make my father happy, because, if he loved me, like your father loved you… did you leave here, Elsa?
Doctor: Should I release the body ?
Crews: Can you hold off on that ?
Crews: Maybe you should tell Marty here that Patrick’s his friend.
Reese: Except Marty can’t here you cause he’s a little dead right now. You can look all you want to, but he’s not gonna get any less dead.
Beni: If we just do what Patrick tells us to do, then it will all be okay.
Crews: It’s not okay. Beni did you not do what Patrick told you to do ? If that why it’s not okay ? What happened at that party ? What did Patrick tell you to do ?
Crews: The best thing about Paris, it’s not L.A. right Anabelle ? If L.A. is Patrick then getting away from L.A. is getting away from him.
Anabelle: I didn’t think you’d be cruel ?
Reese: He is believe me.
Anabelle: Patrick told me about you. He admires you. Admires how you didn’t lay down, how you took it and made a new life for yourself.
Reese: Marty says you tried to kill him too.
Patrick: Yeah I jacked him up, but guess what? It didn’t kill him.
Crews: Yeah, but guess what? It did.
Crews: (Driving his brand new car:) This car is just an object. Objects have no meaning, they don’t. Don’t.
