Here’s another promo video for the upcoming season of LIFE, and I kinda like this one. Dani’s new look is still there but we don’t get to really see her here, and it just feels more like the show…
Question: All promos seem to end with a “Fridays this fall”. Do you think people are aware the show actually returns on a Monday (September 29th) ? Since NBC decided to have the show air on both Mondays and Fridays for a couple of weeks, might be good to let people know about it too, no?
And yeah, I’m really not liking this new look for Dani, it just seems so not her… God I hate NBC. I mean, look at those (incredibly small, sorry) thumbs from official promo pics and tell me that looks like Dani, the Dani we know & love from last season :
Here’s a new promo from NBC for our beloved LIFE, and I’ll just say for those of you who really hate spoilers that it does reveal more than the previous one did.
NBC has done an abysmal job showing this promo, showing it only once and briefly perhaps the best chance of keeping this show afloat and alive is by the fans banding together to help. Get the word out, keep Life visible!
Initial thoughts after the first knee jerk reaction of happiness– [Toggle Spoiler]
I really hope that Dani’s look in this episode is only temporary, I really hope that this isn’t a sign of the Network meddling where they shouldn’t. It’s been a concern before and now its becoming a worrying possibility. Last season established Dani’s look so well and distinctively her own, she stood above other female TV cops because you can understand that this was a serious cop and not just a female cop.
That said, I should warn you that they do talk a bit about what’s to come next season, talk about a few scenes and events we might expect from upcoming episodes, so if you’re allergic to spoilers, well, you’re screwed, because really you gotta watch this one! But most of the serious chat comes at the end, and even then anyways Damian Lewis can’t stay serious for too long…
Video below, get ready to laugh. (Again, no spoilers tag but there’s some, especially by the end, be aware.)
As I was looking for something completely unrelated to LIFE on Amazon.com’s Unbox, their video download store, I of course did a quick search for LIFE and ended up finding this pretty cool promo for the show, since you can download the entire first season for $17.51 there (or $1.99 per episode, picking the episode(s) you want).
The video is actually pretty cool, and I like how they played out the duality in Charlie’s behavior regarding the whole conspiracy that sent his behind bars. Plus, we take all the promos we can, right?

Found on Canada’s network Global TV, here’s a little promo video for LIFE that does include some never-seen-before footage. I’m not really sure if they’re aware of it, because it doesn’t makes much sense to use such footage to promote the show, but either way, for any fans of the show out there this is great news !
This video does use footage from an early pilot done with different cast members, namely Claudia Black as Charlie’s ex-wife Jennifer and Melissa Sagemiller as Charlie’s lawyer, Constance Griffiths. And looking at this video, I can see why they decided to recast those roles and I’m pretty happy they did so, because the tones and attitudes just aren’t right here.
Constance seems just out of it, not caring, like it’s a joke or something, it’s totally off. As for Jennifer, she doesn’t look like she now does on the show, like she truly believed Charlie was guilty and moved on, has given up on him, their relationship, whatever they shared, and is not willing to let herself go back there and wonder about “what if”.
Tidwell: Who do yo like ? (Dani stares at him, perplexed.) For the killing.
Reese: Oh, uh… well the researcher assistant she had means. And the Animals’ right group had motivations.
Tidwell: Married ? (Another stare.) The dead guy, was he married ?
Crews: No!
Tidwell: Then the assistant is your killer. Human nature, men and women working together always end up banging. And most people are killed by the person they’re banging.
Reese: Well that’s just not true.
Tidwell: Yeah it is, it’s a fact. Come on, Crews, back me up on this.
Crews: You two work together, when you have sex, who’s gonna kill who ?
Reese: If I have sex with him you’re gonna kill me immediately!
Crews: She’s an aggressive female. — S02E03
